And you talk about freedom of the press...poorah...media slammed for carrying Opposition reports...who are you kidding? It is finally out in the open - the media must show favoritism to the government when reporting news, and certain English media (I think we know which one it is...but you better watch out, you could have your licence suspended!) have been ticked off for giving emphasis on the Opposition. Of course in reality news-reporting in this country could hardly be even described as one-sided; how much news is devoted to the Opposition anyway? Zero? Also it cements the very fact that Malay language media are just Government (oops...UMNO) propaganda tools, not worth wasting our shrinking income on...
Small wonder why our enlightened citizens are turning to blogs for more accurate reporting on the true comings-and-goings in this country. But we better stand ready: the next battlefield would be in cyberspace, and it would not be a pretty sight...
