Down and Out

So much for being given a lifeline last weekend...might as well Russia had won their game and sent England out there and then. But the Englishmen and England fans were given false hopes that they would do the necessary at home to secure the one point needed for them to qualify...

But alas it was not to be!! And again it was goalkeeping errors that led to England's exit from Euro 2008; not to say that they played well anyway - perhaps they were in the mistaken impression that Croatia would not put up a stiff fight, having already secured their place in the Finals.



Goes to show that although the Premier League is one of the hottest shows in football, there are actually not many good English players, and as a result their national team suffers.

So nasi sudah jadi bubur. Will McClaren get the sack? Probably, and again goes the hunt for the new England manager...
