Reaction

So this is the horrific market reaction to Proton's news yesterday...well like I said it was quite unexpected, so much so even people in the know were caught off guard by the news!

It has been reasoned that since Proton is turning around, the management must be given a chance to prove themselves. And if they fail, they can go looking for Volkswagen or General Motors again! Hello...do you think these multinational giants are gonna sit around waiting for Proton to come begging? No, they will move on and look for better opportunities elsewhere!!! Wake up!! The chance has come and gone...it's boom or bust for Proton! And have they started grasping at straws already?

What's in store for us consumers? I guess there won't be a swift end to the protectionist policies, so we still have to brace ourselves for pricey foreign marquees; so much for the New Automotive Policy...unless the intent is to wreck Proton from the start!! Gee...there's so many possibilities here...

I just wonder whether in the greater scheme of things, this would really spell the end for Proton...
