Ratatouille

Well, this is another good Disney movie for you; I must commend them for coming up with a good idea for cartoons. A rat which aspires to be a chef...has got to be a gem of a cartoon. And it is. Maybe not in the class of Cars, Incredibles or Surf's Up, but much better than the fare dished out last year.

Of course all eyes were on the rat Remy. Wishing to be something more than what life has in store for him is a something we can all relate to; and while he had the talent, he had to rely on the help of a two-legged unwilling Linguini (actually he does walk on two legs, and controls his human counterpart by tugging on his hair!) to make the culinary magic happen. So along the way they had the mishaps and laughs trying to keep their common secret, encounter with the baddies but when the going finally got tough, Remy's estranged family (quite an extended family) came up trumps!

Well, the highlight of the show was of course the heartwarming finale where the food critic, Ego was served 'ratatouille' (this you have to watch to experience it!), and Remy finally earned the recognition he deserved for the cook he is. Of course the ending where both rodent and human, and critic-turned-regular each finally got their rewards was exquisitely done.

Good work Disney! Do keep coming up with such genius!!
